The S15 is a Japanese sports car built by Nissan.

The S15 is well known for being a drift car, street car and more. The S15 has a 2.0 DOHC-I4 (SR20DE) or, the 2.0 DOHC turbo-I4 (SR20DET). The S15 has a 5 or 6-speed manual or can come with a 4-speed automatic. The S15 was made during 1999-2002. The S15 is often seen being used in Formula Drift (professional drift series) by people such as Adam LZ, James Dean, Odi Bakchis and more. The S15 is also well known for going on touges. (A touge is a mountain pass.) The S15 spec R can hit a top speed of 294.4 kph (155 mph.) The S15 has around 250 horsepower stock and 274 nm of torque at 4800 rpm. You can buy an S15 for around 30 thousand dollars, which yes, is expensive but many people are willing to pay the price. The S15 was built on the s-chassis platform. Some other cars on this chassis are: the s14, s13, 240sx and a lot more.

  1. Wow! You know a lot about cars and car manufacturing! This is an subject area about which I know very little, so I enjoyed learning about the S15 by reading this post. I still have loads of questions though. What’s a “Formula Drift?” and why is the S15 good for going on touges? What is it about the design that makes it good for this?
